Strengths: truly ultra light at under 2.8 poundsextremely fast and responsiveVista graphics score 3.5 which is very good

Weaknesses: 1024x768 screen with 4:3 aspect ratioDVD is external USB or in ultrabaseno touchpad, only point stick

Overall Evaluation: Lenovo should re-design with widescreen WXGA 1280x1024 and touchpad. HP and other companies indeed have such a product. Lenovo does not have bluetooth mouse as accessory, probably because bluetooth still has problems with legacy hardware under Vista. Runs hot after 15 minutes of continuous usage."

Weaknesses: lcd screen could be better

Overall Evaluation: This model is one of the best: ultra-light, sturdy, good keyboard design, and the performance is very good. For the price you simply cannot find better choices. Here are the cons: the viewing angle of the LCD is not the best. And the machine does run a bit hot after some time."

Pros: super light, fast, well designed, no optical (i like that), brilliant display,

Cons: no widescreen, fugly, miss touchpad - although nipple is good

Summary: I thought I'd never buy a thinkpad. They are f-ugly and they make me yawn. Plus NO TOUCHPAD! Who likes using the red nipple? Well, you actually get used to it in minutes.

No where else is there a 2.6 lb. laptop that performs THIS well at around $1000. After configuration it came out to $1200 (upgraded to 100GB 7200RPM HD, 2GB RAM, and Bluetooth). This thing is lightening fast. Sony starts at $2100, Fujitsu is a rip off, and no one else comes close.

My only gripes are that I wish it was widescreen, s-video out, and 4 in 1 reader vs. just SD reader. Some say the speaker is weak but actually it's quite loud. No bass really but it can project."
